An Ode to Jude

I know we just met but I want you to see
Not all humans are bad, Especially me

I know you’re confused, I know your skin is bare
But just give me some time and we’ll get back all your hair

Time will heal your sores and your broken heart too
Mine broke, too, when we met, so mine will heal with you

Before today the People you trust have been far and few
But then again you’ve never met The Priceless Pets Pittie Crew!

This will be your home for the next month two or three
Along the way you will meet Elvis, Wally and even Penny

They will be your new friends and your foster bros and sis
Even girls will come over just to give you a kiss

I will show you nothing but love, Introduce you to kids and tons of enchanters
But trust when I say I will also teach you some manners

You may think this is your last stop but in fact it is not
I still have to find you a family in case you forgot

And the day you find them I will have to let you go
And just so you know this is not a goodbye but more of a hello

To a family that needs you, though I can’t say I won’t cry

I will think of you often and sometimes randomly
But nothing will replace the bond between you and your new family

And no matter what new adventures you may stumble into
Just know we’ll never forget you at Priceless Pet Rescue

And this my dear Jude is my promise to you.
