It All Started with a Pit Bull

It All Started with a Pit Bull

itallstarted_bl_mainJune 3, 2012 – I took in a little pittie who needed a home. I had just received my 6th concussion and my doc kept telling me I needed a dog. Days later I found out this sweet thing needed a home so I took her in. Little did I know she needed me as much as I needed her.

I had no idea how to care for her or the degree of discrimination we would face together and she made sure to let me know just how inexperienced I was. We have grown together and learned together.  Now we foster dogs together along with the rest of our pack.

She inspired me to start www.ipittythebull.com. She has taken in a rescue pig as if he were her own and now we enter 2015 with tons of opportunities. Music videos, merchandise, even a new girlfriend. She’s given me the opportunity to help more dogs and educate more people.

itallstarted_bl_2“iPittytheBull” has started to take a life of its own and it all started with Penny Lane. I have so many people telling us how great 2015 has been already but my 2015 started when I took in a puppy named Penny Lane. My 2015 didn’t start 8 days ago. My 2015 started on June 3rd, 2012. And to think, it all started with a pit bull…

  1. I recently stumbled upon your website and all the good things you and the other pitbull organizations are doing. Your stories create such mix feelings of joy, happiness, laugh out loud funny and sadness but a feel good sadness. You truly are a wonderful person fostering the dogs that need a forever home or just a home til it is time. I plan on participating in some of your events and I signed up for your news letter. I also tried to donate today but paypal was giving me trouble so I will try again in a few minutes. I just needed to say how your stories inspired me to do something for these animals. I got my first pitbull when my daughter was 3 and she is now 30. They are the best and most loyal dogs ever. Our current pittie is a rescue from the Carson shelter. Mac is good in the house but still needs additional training on the leash and being with other dogs. He is great with other dogs in the house but once outside that is a different story. I know he has promise but it just will take patience on our end. I hope to meet you someday and meet your beautiful dogs.
