A Perfect Day To Be A “Pit Bull”

A Perfect Day To Be A “Pit Bull”

pittiefest2_bl_mainAs most of you know, this past Saturday the Priceless Pets Pittie Crew put on “Pittie Fest 2014” and to say it was a success does not do it justice! This year we had twice as many vendors, twice as many people and raised 4 times the amount of money than we did last year! We had q1047  joining in on the fun, as well! Basically, we had a “Pittie Party” and the day was as perfect as could be!

We had people come from all over California to join in on this day. We had so many of our Priceless Pets Alumni come visit. We had “Baby K” make an appearance and he had grown so much! He heard my voice and immediately knew who I was! Shadow made his first appearance back since being adopted and he’s MASSIVE!! One of our mange babies, Lilly, was adopted and Jude, Jude left the Pittie Fest being CGC certified! Needless to say, I was a VERY proud foster parent that day! And I can’t forget about Wally. Who would have thought that one of the biggest “pit bull” ambassadors would have been a senior beagle in a red wagon!

pittiefest2_bl_2We had some of the biggest “pit bull” advocates in California come and support this event. New friendships were formed and nothing negative happened. For one day, it was perfect day to be a “pit bull”. We got to let our guard down and celebrate this breed as a community. And even though not everyone there knew each other personally, the pittie community got stronger as a whole. Our message got that much louder and for one day nobody was glaring, judging or walking the opposite direction whenever one of our dogs was around.

pittiefest2_bl_3The Pittie Crew has come such a long way in such a short time. If you’ve ever been to the city of Chino Hills, it is a beautiful community. It’s a community that takes pride in their city and it’s becoming a community that loves the pitties! And it’s happening because of the Priceless Pets Pittie Crew. This is happening because our leader, Mandy Stover, has assembled this team and kept us together. The Priceless Pets Pittie Crew is becoming a family and we are growing and getting stronger as each day passes. Pittie Fest 2014 was a success because Pittie Crew member, Macie Mendoza, coordinated an AMAZING event! Collectively, our ripples in the water are becoming waves. We are changing minds, opening hearts and saving lives all at the same time. We know this battle is far from over but for one day, we won. For one day, we didn’t have to defend our dogs; we got to show them off. In my world, that’s a perfect day.
